摘要: Recent advances in studying long-range chromatin interactions have shifted focus from the transcriptional regulation by nearby regulatory elements to recognition of role higher-order organization within nucleus. These also suggested that CCCTC-binding factor (CTCF), a known insulator protein, may play central mediating interactions, directing DNA segments into transcription factories and/or facilitating with other regions. Several models describe possible mechanisms for multiple functions CTCF establishment and maintenance epigenetic programs are now emerging. Epigenetics plays an important normal development disease including cancer. involvement aspects regulation, genomic imprinting X-chromosome inactivation, has been well established. More recently, was found noncoding establishing local structure at repetitive mammalian genomes, suggesting new basis several repeat-associated genetic disorders. Emerging evidence points deregulation imbalance studies provide some missing links our understanding control both
