摘要: Abstract Short term habituation in human subjects was studied by a method which provided stimulus analysis of averaged evoked responses. Tones delivered every 2 sec resulted rapid drop, during the first few stimuli, amplitude positive component vertex responses peaks between 150 and 200 msec; but no similar change found for tones 10 sec. The drop faster rate stimulation considered to have only appearance habituation, viewed as reflecting refractoriness within auditory system. On other hand, when presented an unpredictable manner it elicited large with peak latency about 300 msec. Similar were obtained pitch effort elicit dishabituation. Predictable changes did not produce these results. msec seen shift attention associated orienting response.
