摘要: The effects of two year's addition simulated acid precipitation, with and without added fertilizer, on mycorrhizae, litter decomposition soil tree chemistry in a sugar maple (Acer saccharum Marsh.) dominated forest were investigated. floor beneath mature trees was irrigated at monthly intervals between May September local lake water acidified to pH 3, 4 or untreated lakewater 4.9. In addition, commercial organic slow-release fertilizer (Maple Gro) the prior irrigation 3 spray. Trees which no experimental spray applied also included as controls. Eight used for each five treatments. Application alone did not acidify surface nor cause visible symptoms decline trees. solution leachate increased by lakewater. An increase concentration sulphate (SO42-), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg) only recorded plots + Maple Gro. initial rate tended be higher following application sprays, although mycorrhizal infection roots reduced Concentrations zinc (Zn), chromium (Cr) nickel (Ni) highest wood formed during period 3. Foliar nitrogen (N) concentrations all treatments, there differences treatment any other nutrients measured foliage after years treatment. It is concluded that rain under field conditions results complex interaction events are reproduced pot trials must fully understood before impact forests can evaluated.
