摘要: Background Some researches have shown that melatonin (MLT) has effects on the erythrocyte deformability and osmotic fragility which, currently, seem to be heterogeneous fragmentary. Objective This work wished evaluate in vitro possible modifying action of MLT at pharmaceutical doses rat blood samples treated with cytochalasin B (CB). The variation lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels been measured because LDH is an enzyme which considered important marker hemolysis. Working a strongly reducing environment necessary order avoid antioxidant actions MLT, measuring plasma malondialdehyde total phospholipids highlight are not related its recognized properties. Results data show strengthens CB membrane erythrocytes. Conclusions Under adopted working conditions, direct relation biochemical dynamics cytoskeleton-mediated processes can suggested. Further studies will needed clarify mechanisms extent observed phenomena.
