摘要: Objective: To describe epidemiological characteristics of individuals suffering from acid peptic disease found by a first level endoscopic diagnostic center 1993 and 2007. Methods: A retrospective, descriptive analytical study series patients. Results: 12,638 registers were included in the study. 62.3% patients women, 37.7% men (mean 44.0 ± 16 years). Main endoscopy findings: esophagitis 14.1%, gastric ulcer 4.1%, duodenal 7.0%, total lesions 17%. Corporal ulcers most common (56.4%). Erosive represented 21% cases. Only frequency de- creased significantly period observed. This was associated with increased consumption proton pump inhibitors. No seasonal variation observed any lesions. Conclusions: 1. Acid is frequently at center, fre- quently men. 2. We described significant reduction 3. It necessary to realize multi-centric studies confirm our results.
