摘要: BACKGROUND To determine the normal distribution of serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels in Taiwanese men without clinical evidence prostate cancer. METHODS Between August 2006 and October 2007, healthy undergoing a routine health examination our hospital were recruited into study. All received digital rectal (DRE) PSA determination some transrectal ultrasound (TRUS). Men with DRE findings, < 4.0 ng/ml, between ng/ml 20 negative TRUS or abnormal findings (hypoechoic lesion others) biopsy defined as clinically free RESULTS A total 7803 participants cancer included The median value (95th percentile range) was 0.896 (3.329) for 50-59 years old; 1.151 (5.114) 60-69 1.623 (6.237) 70-79 old 1.754 (6.613) older then 80 years. values correlated age (r = 0.3078, p 0.001). There small changes 95th younger than 50 old, but large increases those CONCLUSIONS These confirm that is directly age, offer more efficient reference screening tests men.
