摘要: Research has established that the physical violence items of Conflict Tactics Scales (CTS) measure a single construct violence. Little work been done, however, to examine relative severity individual items. This study therefore evaluated structure an expanded version scale CTS in sample randomly selected men and women. In total, 576 women 547 reported on perpetration receipt 14 violent acts their relationships. Item response theory analyses indicated were unidimensional for recipient perpetrator reports men's violence, as well women's The dispersed along underlying continuum, from lower higher discriminated this range. There was convergence between by perpetrators recipients Results further adding together total number different endorsed form (variety) score is appropriate both These scores strongly related likelihood injury suggesting can be used
