摘要: PURPOSE: To characterize the perception of elderly and their relatives regarding difficulties benefits experienced during initial adaptation process to use hearing aids. METHODS: The sample comprised 31 subjects with bilateral sensorineural loss varying in degree from mild moderately severe, at beginning aids. The answered specific questionnaires, questions amplification. RESULTS: Regarding difficulties, it was verified that there statistically significant agreement between answer patient his relative only for option "talk noisy environment". Regarding benefits, no found any options. CONCLUSIONS: There aids, phase process. Hence, an adequate orientation is necessary both user aids will be able help this process.
