摘要: This review provides an overview of our explorations into oligosaccharide and glycoconjugate construction for the creation evaluation glycopeptide-based vaccines. The basis these investigations is known tendency both cancer cells viruses to express selective carbohydrate motifs in form glycoproteins or glycolipids. Utilization carbohydrates a vaccine could potentially trigger immune recognition, generating protective response against disease. However, obtaining large quantities such compounds from natural sources extremely difficult. Over past two decades, lab has been engaged total synthesis complex oligosaccharides glycoconjugates. With this knowledge experience, we have begun evaluate, many cases at clinical level, whether human system capable mounting fully synthetic antigens focused useful way. Toward goal, merged powers chemistry immunology provide insight problem. potential vaccines HIV will be described.
