Stratification in emulsion films

摘要: Abstract Formation of films possessing a layered or stratified structure has been observed with foam from liquid crystals, concentrated surfactant solutions and in layers on the surface water. The stratifying have similar to that smectic phase which soaps are known form bulk solution at high concentrations. repeating units such built so-called black films: each unit consists two interleaved by thin aqueous core. In study presented here we stratification can also take place emulsion solutions. We compared these results those obtained for using same surfactant, i.e. sodium dodecylsulfate.
