摘要: Abstract This paper describes the latest results on fluoride fiber amplifiers and lasers doped with erbium (Er3+), neodymium (Nd3+), praseodymium (Pr3+), thulium (Tm3+) ions. In an Er3+-doped fiber, 1.5 μm gain bandwidth of 35 nm is wider than that Er-doped silica fiber. fibers also have many kinds emission lines such as 0.55, 0.85,0.98, 2.1 which not been seen in Nd3+-doped Pr3+-doped potential for use a 1.3-μm optical amplifier. It possible, however, to host glass either case. These two active ions are compared. Finally, 1.47- 1.9-μm Tm3+-doped described. From practical point view, these four rare earth-doped especially important because they transition wavelengths near 1.3- 1.55-μm communication windows.
