摘要: Imaging techniques are increasingly important in the evaluation of salivary gland pathology. Cross-sectional imaging is mostly used to diagnose masses, particularly and around parotid gland. studies usually performed assess extent a lesion its relationship with adjacent structures as basis for adequate therapy planning. Although this technique sometimes leads correct assessment nature lesion, rarely permit tissue-specific diagnosis. Magnetic resonance (MRI) one cross-sectional that have recently become available. The experience new diagnostic modality limited but promising. In disorders, application MRI has been mainly restricted Unlike computed tomography (CT), can provide images different planes without repositioning patient. To date, seems be safe when contraindications taken into account (1).
