摘要: Abstract Stocked and naturally reproducing salmonids in Lake Michigan support an economically important charter boat fishery which operates from multiple locations around the lake. Charter operators depend on sustainability spatial availability of salmonid species. We analyzed distributions harvest brown trout, Chinook salmon, coho lake rainbow trout 1992 to 2012. found that during this 21 year period fishing effort shifted closer shore, west, north. Harvest some species, namely towards shallower bottom depths shore. In contrast, harvests salmon have not shore a consistent manner. suggest variety factors may contributed these trends patterns, including recent ecosystem shifts Michigan. While we acknowledge patterns are unlikely precisely mirror distribution believe reporting coarse has implications for future management options including, but limited to, stocking decisions regulations.
