摘要: In pot and field experiments conducted in 1990 1991 on an acid sandy, phosphorus (P) deficient soil Niger, West Africa, the effect of seed coating seedling emergence, early growth grain yield pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.) was studied. Seeds were coated with different rates (0; 0.5; 1.0; 2.0; 5.0; 10.0 mg P seed−1) types fertilizers (single superphosphate, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate; monocalcium phosphate, sodium phosphate triphosphate). Seedling emergence generally reduced at higher than 0.5 seed−1 prevented single superphosphate triphosphate 5 seed−1. No correlation found between pH osmomolity coatings final seedlings. The most favourable plant content achieved (AHP) as coating. This attributed to enhancement uptake. Compared untreated control dry matter production 20 days after planting (DAP) increased by 280%, per 330%, total biomass maturity 30% 45%. Although AHP may be harmful seedlings it represents a suitable method enhance increase millet.
