摘要: Purpose To examine the relationship of choroidal thickness with axial length (AL) and myopia in young adult eyes ethnically diverse Correction Myopia Evaluation Trial (COMET) cohort. Design Cross-sectional, multicenter study. Methods In addition to measures by cycloplegic autorefraction AL A-scan ultrasonography, participants underwent optical coherence tomography imaging choroid both at their last visit (14 years after baseline). Using digital calipers, 2 independent readers measured right eye (left if poor quality; n = 37) 7 locations: fovea 750, 1500, 2250 μm nasal (N) temporal (T) fovea. Results Choroidal measurements were available from 294 346 (85%) imaged (mean age: 24.3 ± 1.4 years; 44.9% male) mean of −5.3 2.0 diopters 25.5 1.0 mm. Overall, varied location ( P ≤ .001) presence peripapillary crescent all locations except T1500 T2250 .0001). ethnicity N2250 Conclusion Choroids are thinner longer, more myopic eyes. The thinning was most prominent nasally a crescent. furthest location, associated thickness. findings suggest that should be evaluated, especially regions where degenerations commonly seen clinically.
