摘要: The induced deformation, because of the presence elastic coupling in structure passive smart blades, is key parameter that affects wind turbine aerodynamic performance, namely rotor mechanical power and blade loading. Therefore, order to determine performance these turbines, a structural analyser also required bring effect deformation into account. When predicting power, additional complexity arises when blades are bend-twist-coupled. In this case, an iterative coupled-aero-structure analysis must be carried out at each given speed. Further difficulties simulation turbines posed by fact current analytical models for structures made anisotropic composite materials not accurate enough. This differentiates numerical utilizing from with conventional blades. Different strategies have been proposed followed investigators These methods can categorized approach adopted treating torsional-induced deformation. studies, twist has predicted, planned or combination both. present paper describes, evaluates compares approaches.
