摘要: Biosorption has been intensively investigated as a promising technology for the recovery of precious metals from solution. However, detailed mechanism responsible biosorption Pt on biomass is not fully understood because lack spectroscopic studies. We applied X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy to elucidate coordination sorbed bacterial cells. examined sorption Pt(II) and Pt(IV) species cells Bacillus subtilis Shewanella putrefaciens in NaCl solutions. near-edge extended (EXAFS) Pt-sorbed bacteria suggested that was reduced cell’s surface, even absence an organic material exogenous electron donor. EXAFS spectra demonstrated fourfold chlorine ions, similar PtCl42-, which indicated protonated amine groups This work clearly The findings this study will contribute understanding biomass, facilitate development methods rare using biosorbent materials.
