摘要: Small evergreen shrubs of the family Fabaceae represent a large proportion current Mediterranean mountain vegetation. Their low pastoral value and tendency for encroachment makes these plants undesirable. In this paper, thermal chemical characteristics Echinospartum horridum, thorny cushion-shaped dwarf shrub native to French Central Massif Pyrenees (particularly dominant in shrublands Pyrenees), have been analyzed with view its valorization. Although higher lower heating values biomass from E. horridum met ISO 17225-2:2014 requirements use pellets, ash content was slightly above upper limit, so it would not comply normative acceptable as fuel. Nevertheless, presence high added-value flavonoids lignans extracts, which are receiving increasing recent interest efficient anti-tumor drugs antivirals, may open door valorization pharmacological applications.
