摘要: Household food consumption surveys (weighed records for 7 days) were conducted in two Huli‐speaking communities, Heli the slope zone and Wenani flat plain, Papua New Guinea Highlands when their productivity had decreased after an extended rainy period 1994. Despite lowered of garden crops both daily adult male energy protein intakes (12930 kJ, 3090 kcal 56 g, respectively) exceeded requirement safe levels by FAO/WHO/UNU (1985), whereas those (7750 1852 35 g) below levels. The difference was mostly attributable to three times higher normal than Heli. findings are relevant maintenance security among Highlanders.
