摘要: Equatorial total ozone variations with time scales of annual, quasi-biennial, and about 4-year periodicities are described by paying attention to their longitudinal structure. Analyses made for 11 years from 1979 1989, using the global data derived mapping spectrometer on board Nimbus 7 satellite. Over equator an annual cycle in is conspicuous. Zonal mean values maximum around September minimum January. The structure shows a zonal wavenumber 1 pattern 140°E date line all year-round, indicating close relationship region where convective cloud activity vigorous. By removing climatological original data, there appears quasi-biennial oscillation ozone. This variation characterized zonally uniform phase changes strongly coupled equatorial wind lower stratosphere. Moreover, subtracting anomaly mentioned above, we see east-west seesaw nodal longitude line. variation, having characteristic scale 4 years, clearly related El Nino Southern Oscillation cycle. During events field positive western Pacific negative eastern Pacific; reversed during anti-El events. Because active clouds located relatively sector events, it suggested that stronger upwelling higher tropopause associated bring less
