摘要: We present a simple physical model for populating dark matter halos with Ly? emitters (LAEs) and predict the properties of LAEs at z 3-7. The central tenet this is that luminosity proportional to star formation rate (SFR) which directly related halo mass accretion rate. only free parameter in our then efficiency (SFE). An 2.5% provides best fit function (LF) redshift = 3.1, we use SFE construct LFs other redshifts. Our reproduces LFs, stellar ages, SFR 1-10 M ? yr?1, masses ~107to108 ?, clustering find spatial correlation lengths ro 3-6 h ?1 Mpc, agreement observations. Finally, estimate field-to-field variation 30% current volume flux limited surveys, again consistent results suggest formation, hence emission can be powered by new material. Relating accreted mass, rather than total naturally gives rise their duty cycle.
