摘要: Barrett's esophagus (BE) is a pre-malignant condition affecting up to 15% of patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease. Neoplastic mucosa defined as harboring high grade dysplasia or intra-mucosal cancer, and carries risk progression esophageal adenocarcinoma. The rising incidence lesions along the morbidity surgical approaches has led development numerous validated endoscopic techniques capable eradicating neoplastic in minimally invasive manner. While there been widespread adoption these techniques, less known about optimal surveillance intervals post-therapy period. This due part limitations current methods, questions durability treatment response subendothelial progression. As we are now able achieve organ sparing eradication superficial neoplasia BE, need also then focus our attention on how best manage after achieved. Implementing practices requires additional understanding biology disease, appreciation limits tools treatments, exploration role adjunctive technologies. aim this article provide comprehensive review literature surrounding post-ablation BE.
