摘要: Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) has a potent luteinizing hormone (LH)-like effect in cattle that extends the life span of corpus luteum (CL) and increases progesterone synthesis, induces ovulation throughout estrous cycle, promotes formation accessory corpora lutea when applied early luteal phase, modifies follicular wave dynamics increasing frequency three-wave dominant cycles. As hCG acts on ovarian cells independently pituitary gland its is longer lasting than produced by endogenous LH release, use rather gonadotropin-releasing (GnRH) could be targeted at populations subfertile cows. This review describes clinical to improve reproductive performance dairy In addition, we describe recent developments therapeutic studies addressing benefits including estrus synchronization protocols. Our ends with critical discussion how earlier findings related responses treatment can interpreted light advances applications hCG.
