摘要: This paper reviews the literature on economics of supported employment. By comparing results from research conducted prior to, and after, 2000, several important findings were identified. The first was that individuals with disabilities fare better financially working in community than sheltered workshops, regardless their disability. is especially true given relative wages earned by employees have increased 31.2% since 1980s while decreased 40.6% during same period. Further, employment appears to be more cost-effective workshops over entire "employment cycle" returns a net benefit taxpayers.
