摘要: Analytic estimates and numerical computations are carried out to test the concept of a laboratory experiment on demonstration runaway electron (RE) avalanche RE-induced air breakdown under high overvoltages. It is shown that development an RE impossible conditions given experiment. The experimentally observed distinct tail picosecond pulse, which was interpreted as induced by primary peak, very weakly pronounced in Only initial stage could be experiment; however, according results, fraction REs it too small (as compared number electrons peak) for secondary appreciably affect process.
