摘要: Objective. To define the rate of severe maternal morbidity in different modes delivery and to find out if has changed over a 5-year time span. Design. Retrospective register-based study. Setting. Finnish Medical Birth Registry Hospital Discharge Registry. Population. All singleton deliveries Finland 1997 2002 (n=110,717). Methods. Diagnoses operative interventions recorded indicating complication were linked with Register data compared by mode delivery: spontaneous vaginal (VD), instrumental VD, elective cesarean section non-elective section. Main outcome measures morbidity: deep venous thromboembolism amniotic fluid embolism, major puerperal infection, hemorrhage, events requiring intervention after delivery, uterine rupture inversion, intestinal obstruction.
