摘要: Height and weight at menarche were found for each subject in three longitudinal growth studies. Early late maturing girls have the same mean weight, but maturers are taller menarche. Two other major events of adolescence, initiation spurt maximum rate gain, also occur an invariant weight. The hypothesis is proposed that a critical body may trigger these adolescent events.
