摘要: The toughness of SiC fiber (Nicalon)/SiC matrix composites is increased when an interphase, made a soft material (e.g. pyrocarbon or boron nitride) and playing the role mechanical fuse, present at fiber-matrix interfaces. BN-interphase, deposited from gaseous BF3-NH3 precursor, has been analyzed both chemically microstructurally by TEM AES, as well associated fiber-interphase matrix-interphase sequence materials observed boundary is: matrix/BN interphase/SiO2/carbon/Nicalon fiber.
