摘要: Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technology has been developed to improve the safety and mobility of traffic in around work zones. In several states US, use Dynamic Lane Merge (DLM) system initiated enhance smooth operations zone areas. The DLM usually takes two forms; dynamic early merge late merge. variable speed limit (VSL) systems at zones is also one those measures. It anticipated that VSL by helping driver determining maximum he or she should travel. More specifically, VISSIM model was utilized simulate 2-to-1 configurations for six scenarios namely: Work Zone without DLMS, with DLMS. Assessment these terms throughput various demands motorists’ adherence level were conducted. found through simulation above mentioned low medium demand volume levels (V0500, V1000 V1500), there no significant difference between Maintenance Traffic (MOT) plans mean throughputs.
