摘要: Background Facial erythema is a common symptom in rosacea. To overcome subjectivity scoring severity, objective redness quantification desirable. This study evaluated an image-based tool to monitor facial rosacea patients during treatment and compared these values clinical scores. Materials methods Twenty-one were treated with topical ivermectin for 16 weeks. Clinical scores photographs taken at week 0, 6, 28. Using ImageJ, RGB images split into red, green blue channels measure the green/red ratio of lesional skin sticker. With CIELAB colour space, a* (indicating from red) non-lesional site was measured, calculating ∆a*. Interobserver concordance correlation between quantitative determined. Results Treatment resulted reduction No significant changes red/green ratios measured. Lesional ∆a* significantly decreased baseline 28 (P Conclusion ImageJ simple, rapid, reproducible treatment. The allow retrospective analysis, evaluation large small lesions, discrimination subtle differences. We recommend using inflammatory dermatoses practice.
