摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on the major advances made in social insect pheromones since 1998 with particular attention to biosynthetic aspects. Many of pheromone components insects are derived from chain elongation or shortening fatty acids isoprenoid pathway. Chain appropriate followed by loss carboxyl carbon leads formation hydrocarbons that function widely chemical communication insects. The also reviews a set experiments related biosynthesis honeybee queen mandibular (QMP), which occurs after hydroxylation acid. QMP contains components, 9-hydroxy- and 9-keto-2(E)-decenoic acids. Stearic acid was shown be main precursor molecules, as it converted C10 hydroxy diacids more efficiently than either 16 14
