摘要: The introduction of crime prevention through environmental design initiatives such as alley-gating have become prominent across the UK. For practitioners and policy makers alike, erecting steel gates at entrances to alleys is seen a panacea for reducing domestic burglary tackling anti-social behaviour. This paper examines one initiative Cadoxton, Barry South Wales, considers its impact upon recorded statistics, how local community perceives alley-gates.
