摘要: Two new species of Leptanilloides are described: L. copalinga Delsinne & Donoso sp. nov., and prometea based on workers collected in the leaf litter soil Andes southern Ecuador. Both belong to biconstricta species-group (formally diagnosed here). The metatibial gland, considered a synapomorphy for Dorylinae, is observed nov. but seems absent We provide COI DNA barcode both revised key worker caste all known genus. also describe single male identified as potential basis morphology. Furthermore, its mitochondrial gene sequence does not match any previously barcoded species. However, we refrain from giving it specific name because our lack knowledge about caste. So far, half 14 have been discovered above 1500 m mountain forests or paramos Ecuadorian Andes, confirming, if needed, biological significance these threatened habitats.
