摘要: Abstract We review the geological and geophysical structural framework of deep Black Sea Caspian basins. Based on seismic evidence subsidence history, we conclude that basins have an oceanic crust formed in a marginal sea environment. propose present are remnants much greater during three separate episodes Mesozoic: Middle Jurassic, Upper Jurassic Late Cretaceous. A tentative sketch geologic evolution area is presented. The reached its greatest extent Early Tertiary when it was about 900 km wide 3000 long. central part has since disappeared collision between Arabian promontory Eurasian margin.
