摘要: Archaeology is rapidly approaching an impasse in its ability to handle the overwhelming amount and complexity of data generated by archaeological research. In this paper, we describe some results our efforts developing automatic shape analysis techniques for supporting several fundamental tasks archaeology. These include documentation, looking corollaries, restoration. We assume that input algorithms 3D scans artifacts. Given these scans, three producing visual descriptions which are all non-photorealistic. then proceed explain algorithm partial similarity shapes, can be used query databases shape, searching corollaries. Finally, within restoration, digital completion broken reconstruction shapes based on their line drawing illustrations, restoration colors objects. believe when reports will spread around globe scanned representations replace 2D ones, methods not only accelerate, but also improve obtained current manual procedures.
