摘要: The distribution of ocelots Leopardus pardalis in the USA is limited to southern Texas. Identification and monitoring ocelot populations enables biologists assess population health status. Use camera traps has been successfully used monitor numerous wild felids, including ocelot. Our objectives were identify presence within Texas estimate size density. We survey for on four study sites recorded one site with an abundance three individuals a density 0.30±SE 0.03 km−2. conservation implications this suggest concentrating efforts around (Yturria Ranch) found have ocelots. In addition, emphasizes importance private landowners recovery process.
