摘要: The concept of generic diversity expresses the ‘diversification’ species into genera in a community. Since niche overlap is assumed to be higher congeneric species, competition should increase diversity. On other hand, might lower highly selective environments, where only with similar adaptations can survive. We used distribution tenebrionid beetles Central Italy investigate how varies elevation from sea level 2400 m altitude. Generic geophilous tenebrionids decreased sharply elevation, whereas xylophilous showed similarly high values across gradient. These results suggest that are more sensitive variation environmental factors, and advantages close relationships (similar harsh conditions) greater than possible drawbacks (competition). This consistent fact mostly generalist detritivores, hence weakly affected by for resources. By contrast, protected harsh/selective conditions, but limited microhabitats food.
