摘要: Host defence peptides (HDPs) are short, cationic amphipathic with diverse sequences that produced by various cells and tissues in all complex life forms. HDPs have important roles the body's response to infection inflammation. This Review focuses on human explores immunomodulatory effects of from a systems biology perspective, which highlights interconnected nature effect (or effects) host. Studies demonstrated expressed throughout body mediate broad range activities, explains their association inflammatory diseases autoimmune disorders. The actions HDPs, such as wound healing maintenance microbiota, also explored, addition potential therapeutic applications.
