Resultant effect of crisis-driven HR strategies applied during current economic crisis in Oman: An HR manager's perspective

摘要: During an economic crisis, companies redesign their functional strategies for survival and growth. This paper aims at identifying HR practices adopted during the current crisis in Oman, explains resultant effect of crisis-driven from managers' perspective. Primary data was collected online 112 managers representing various manufacturing service organizations Muscat, Oman. It found that perceive a greater impact on businesses rather than other types crises such as natural technology crises. They think managing employees is relatively easier resources stakeholders. Changing include, abeyance employee benefits cutting costs recreation. Knowledge management activities have been increased non-monetary motivation techniques are being part management. Increased engagement enhanced corporate image among were identified effect. Testing hypothesis revealed cost recreation significantly higher large organizations, job activity small while find it difficult to deal with periods more so medium sized do.
