STUDIES OF CERTAIN ADDICTION CHARACTERISTICS OF (a) DIHYDROMORPHINE ("PARAMORPHAN"), (b) DIHYDRODESOXYMORPHINE-D ("DESOMORPHINE"), (c) DIHYDRODESOXYCODEINE-D ("DESOCODEINE"), AND (d) METHYLDIHYDROMORPHINONE ("METOPON")

摘要: In order to learn something of their respective addiction characteristics (a) dihydromorphine, (b) dihydrodesoxymorphine-D, (c) dihydrodesoxycodeine-D, and (d) methyldihydromorphinone were each substituted for morphine in four successive groups addicted patients. Addiction satisfaction by the first three drugs was nearly complete. However, with incomplete neither slightly larger amounts nor somewhat shorter intervals administration improved this. The relative intensities dependence effects, as estimated from corrected equivalent single doses, expressed reciprocals, were: 1/50, 1/14.75, 1/10.1, 1/69.9, 1/6.9. durations effects also varied considerably: 14.4 hours, 19.2 4.5 8.5 hours.
