摘要: Bone grafting has been used in orthognathic surgery to fill the gaps created by jaw repositioning, with intention of improving healing and stability. Since majority cases have a satisfactory result, decision graft or not is clinical dilemma. A systematic review literature was performed on use bone grafts surgery. search PubMed, MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials yielded 1927 articles published up until 2018. An additional 10 were retrieved through manual searching reference lists citations. After title abstract screening, 58 potentially eligible; full-text screening excluded these. Thus 48 included this review. The present highlights benefits bony during terms healing, stability, aesthetic outcomes. Generally, there no difference between various types graft, although calcium phosphate cement hydroxyapatite found increase rate infection. conclusion that remains lack evidence regarding osteotomy sites Guidelines are proposed based evidence; however, future research needed validate
