摘要: We report changes of deep-sea ostracod fauna during the last 370,000 yr from Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Hole 704A in South Atlantic sector Southern Ocean. The results show that faunal are coincident with glacial/interglacial-scale deep-water circulation changes, even though our dataset is relatively small and waters barren ostracods until mid-MIS (Marine Isotope Stage) 5. Krithe Poseidonamicus were dominant Holocene interglacial period latter part MIS 5, when this site was under influence North Deep Water (NADW). Conversely, Henryhowella Legitimocythere glacial periods, path Circumpolar (CPDW). Three new species (Aversovalva brandaoae, hisayoae, mazziniae) described herein. This first Quaternary glacial/interglacial scale Oceans, a key region for understanding climate circulation, although paucity necessitates further research.
