摘要: A history of texture analysis (TA) evolution is shown, beginning from the first experimental and theoretical attempts to find characterize preferred orientations crystal lattices grains in real polycrystalline samples. Stages formation TA apparatus, its basic elements, also application capabilities for quantitatively describing anisotropic properties textured samples are discussed. Attention paid limitations difficulties associated with analysis. The quantitative apparatus demonstrated by example elastic materials up multiphase containing pores cracks. wide scope includes based on neutron scattering which has been effectively developed at Frank Laboratory Neutron Physics. practical opportunity determine bulk crystallographic textures single-phase offered use modern diffractometers, including SKAT diffractometer IBR-2 pulsed reactor. This especially important studying natural rocks. examples given show how data used combination other physical petrological methods solving fundamental problems geology geophysics a structure Earth’s lithosphere matter. review detailed list references original works concerning elaboration, overview publications monographs, information most popular TA-related software.
