摘要: Abstract Forest plantations are an increasingly important source of industrial wood around the world, and design management can greatly influence relationship with wildlife. The aim this study was to examine effects conversion native open vegetation conifer on mammalian carnivore assemblages in NW Patagonia, Argentina. We conducted camera-trap surveys at 69 sites assessed composition habitat use vegetation. also evaluated characteristics stand landscape scales related presence carnivores. Four species carnivores were detected: Lycalopex culpaeus , Conepatus chinga Puma concolor Leopardus geoffroyi . L. C. used continuous most frequently, but dense tended be more abundant firebreaks sparse than plantations. almost fully restricted vegetation, detected remnants between plantations; never P. all types did not exhibit any preference. associated understory diversity, tree density, prey availability scale, amount area scale. Our results suggest that decisions quality for wildlife region.
