摘要: The power system frequency is important for the overall stability. However, there does not exist a single measurement point of due to distributed nature inertia and small inconsistency different generator rotor electrical speeds in one synchronized system. This paper proposed new approach calculate center-of-inertia (COI) rate-of-change-of-frequency (RoCoF) more accurately using PMU data at multiple locations. COI RoCoF value were further used assist fast estimation imbalance MW amount event. Test results actual measurements U.S. Eastern Interconnection validated effectiveness method.
