摘要: Abstract Municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash (IBA) may be used as cement supplements. Few studies reported IBA delays the setting and hydration of Portland cement. However, fundamental causes this retarding effect consequent effects on especially at early age are still not clear. Furthermore, no previous study has discussed different size fractions microstructure hardened pastes. This paper presents IBA-blended age. Results show that chemical compositions vary significantly with its particle size. Large particles rich in siliceous substance which can a potential pozzolan while small contain much calcareous materials anhydrite. As result, smaller fraction shows stronger due to presence more soluble calcium-bearing leachable heavy metals prohibit dissolution C 3 S hinder nucleation portlandite C-S-H. After onset accelerated hydration; however, possess similar heat evolution, total hydration, cementitious properties.
