摘要: As the burden of Alzheimer’s dementia rises, so does our understanding cellular and molecular basis this neurodegenerative disease. Some recent advances in aetiopathogenesis neurodegeneration include finding that insulin receptor signalling is key to neurogenesis synaptogenesis brain, especially areas related memory formation storage, including hippocampus. This suggests an association between impaired events. To decipher association, several animal models are being employed. Such transgenic non-transgenic animals range from invertebrates (Drosophila melanogaster Caenorhabditis elegans), vertebrates (mouse, rats primates). The current review account such how they have contributed relationship type 2 diabetes mellitus, ageing dementia.
