摘要: Transposable elements (TEs) are mobile genetic that present in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. The ubiquity abundance of these self-replicating entities, bereft cellular function, had earned them the label ‘genomic parasites’. However, status TEs has been revised, with ample genomic biological evidence now portraying as “genomic gold”. They perceived a major participant evolution species. This review addresses classification well their role significance genomes, diversity, gene regulation, exaptation contemporary species plant animal kingdoms.
