Impact of heart disease and calibration interval on accuracy of pulse transit time-based blood pressure estimation.

摘要: Continuous blood pressure (BP) measurement without a cuff is advantageous for the early detection and prevention of hypertension. The pulse transit time (PTT) method has proven to be promising continuous cuffless BP measurement. However, problem accuracy one most challenging aspects before large-scale clinical application this method. Since PTT-based estimation relies primarily on relationship between PTT under certain assumptions, will affected by cardiovascular disorders that impair calibration frequency, which may violate these assumptions. This study sought examine impact heart disease interval estimation. PTT-BP algorithm was investigated in 37 healthy subjects 48 patients with at different intervals, namely 15 min, 2 weeks, 1 month after initial calibration. results showed overall systolic significantly lower than subjects, but diastolic more accurate subjects. becomes less reliable longer intervals. These findings demonstrate both can influence should taken into consideration improve accuracy.
