摘要: Going for Growth, an industry-led strategy to expand the agri-food sector, was adopted by Northern Irish government in 2013 order encourage farming intensification Ireland. This approach, however, threatens already fragile natural environment and has had detrimental consequences human health well-being. article employs environmental justice perspective scrutinize a community affected this phenomenon. Based on findings from semi-structured interviews with local residents, describes their exposure risks as result of intensification. The uneven distribution burdens is also coupled limited opportunities residents engage decision-making be recognized active agents change. concludes that Ireland marked procedural injustice should addressed downscaling levels production reforming processes.
